The multiple dimensions of poverty include a lack of income and sufficient material resources to live in dignity, inadequate access to basic services such as health, housing and education, exclusion from the labor market or more or less serious slavery. These elements are the main causes of poverty and explain how individuals and families become marginalized.

The theme of integration or social inclusion is therefore an increasingly urgent issue to be tackled, not only in poor countries, but also in more developed countries. Unbridled and uncontrolled immigration will be the cause of dissolution and social disintegration.

In countries with a high level of poverty, populations are threatened by severe food shortages and / or in need of structural assistance programs, while in the more developed countries, the population wanders indifference, racial hatred and gender.

To find solutions to these problems, transversal approaches are needed that intervene in a timely and targeted manner, with innovative micro-economic policies, enabling the poor population to use digital technologies to acquire the knowledge aimed at survival, in full harmony with the surrounding territory.


This situation requires us, in the first place, to "overturn" the question of social integration, which is usually declined "one-way" as a simple insertion, with a gradual path that enhances individual individual skills and then integrated into the world of work on a par with others.

It is not possible to imagine, in fact, that the paths of social integration of those who are part of a new context are the result of randomness or fortuitous circumstances. On the contrary, inclusion is a sense of belonging, feeling respected, appreciated for the people we are, feeling the energy and commitment of others who support us so that each of us can do our best, in harmony with others.

This process of evaluation, planning and planning of social inclusion strategies, to be addressed, require to be "thought", ie designed, through an approach that puts the individual at the center. Indeed, only with education and training can have a direct impact on the pursuit of poverty reduction strategy. Education and training systems should, in fact, be functional to support upward social mobility by helping to break the vicious circle of disadvantage and inequality.
